ISTE 2016 will be an exciting, but very busy event! We hope to connect and collaborate with as many of our ed tech colleagues as possible. Here’s what PR with Panache! will be up to:
On Sunday, June 26, PRP Editorial Director Chris Piehler will speak to an exclusive audience of CEOs and marketing managers in the SETDA Emerging Private Sector Partners cohort about “How Brand Storytelling Builds Relationships.”
On Monday and Tuesday, June 27 and 28, the PRP Storytelling Suite will be buzzing! Clients and educators will be gathered at at The Corner Office Restaurant and Martini Bar to tell their stories about new hardware and software, thought leadership, and research. Here’s a quick preview of the innovative and inspiring stories you will hear:
- ABC Mouse for Schools
Age of Learningis launching ABC Mouse for Schools at ISTE. The program’s goal is to help children build a strong foundation for future academic success by providing a comprehensive and engaging online curriculum to assist early learners to succeed in pre-K, kindergarten, and early elementary school programs. David Samuelson, Head of Global Schools and an industry veteran, would love to meet with you and explain their vision!
- EXO U
At ISTE, EXO U will launch Ormiboard, a visual creation and collaboration tool that helps teachers and students build lessons, activities, and interactive games for use in any classroom with displays and/or mobile devices. With ping-pong sharing and group collaboration, Ormiboard’s freeform canvas doubles as a creation platform with universal access.
- LifeLiQe
LifeLiQewill present its virtual reality visual learning platform that features more than 1,000 interactive 3D models in breathtaking quality and detail. You will have the opportunity to unlock the power of visual learning as you experience augmented reality in real time in the suite!
- Lightspeed Technologies
This company is really redefining itself! With a passion to improve the listening and learning environment for every child, Lightspeed Technologieswill be introducing “Whisper Coaching,” a new concept that promises to revolutionize teacher mentoring. They also will share best practices for the what, why, and how of formative assessment.
- myON
Last August, myON launchedmyON 3.0, a truly personalized literacy environment that included a new, sleek user interface and enhanced literacy tools such as writing and journaling features. At ISTE, myON will be unveiling additional, enhanced features to foster a love of reading, writing, and literacy as a whole. They have also launched their myON Works project, which is a deep dive into how their district partners are creating full communities of readers for kids.
- pivotEd by Capstone
pivotEd will be unveiled at ISTE! This library of digital lessons, created by Capstone,focuses on students in grades 3–6, and it takes a unique approach to helping students engage with science and social studies content through English language arts.
- Promethean
Prometheanis home of the newly released ActivWall, which, at 135 inches wide, has been called “The Great Wall of Learning.” At ISTE, the company will unveil the newest iteration of its free, collaborative learning application ClassFlow and will have local educators on hand to share their success stories.
On Monday, June 27, PRP is thrilled to be hosting a book signing for Carl Hooker, the Director of Technology and Learning at Eanes ISD (TX) and the founder of iPadpalooza. Hooker will be signing copies of Mobile Learning Mindset: The District Leader’s Guide to Implementation and
Mobile Learning Mindset: The Principal's Guide to Implementation. The event, sponsored by myON, will take place from 5–6 PM at PRP’s Storytelling Suite at The Corner Office Restaurant and Martini Bar.
